ORDER

The writ petition has been filed praying to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for records pertaining to the order j/gp/2 ,/nfh No.24/ / /102/2022 dated 19.01.2022 issued by the third respondent and to quash the same as illegal and direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct sathyagraha near Mahatma Gandhi Statue, Near Light House, Mylapore any other day as fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner seeks permission for only fasting one day Sathyagraha near Mahatma Gandhi Statue near Light House, Mylapore, Chennai. Now, the entire stretch of Marina Beach including the Mahatma Gandhi Statue covered by Chennai Metro Rail Limited to form railway line.

Therefore, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be considered.

3. However, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh application seeking permission to conduct Sathyagraha in some other place.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
