O R D E R
The Contempt Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents for committing willful disobedience of the order of this Court made in Crl.O.P.No.1727/2022 dated 01.02.2022.
2. Mrs.V.Mahalakshmi, Inspector of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Special Cell, Avadi, Chennai-54 is present before this Court.
3. The petitioner had earlier filed Crl.O.P.No.1727 of 2022 seeking a direction to the respondent therein/second respondent herein to register the F.I.R. on his complaint dated 15.12.2021. This Court, finding that the prima- facie case has been made out, on 01.02.2022, passed the order directing the second respondent herein to register the F.I.R. and conduct investigation on the complaint of the petitioner dated 15.12.2021. Thereafter, no action has been taken. The petitioner had sent pre-contempt notice to the respondents on 07.03.2022 and 12.03.2022, respectively and the same were not responded to. Hence, this contempt petition.
4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that on 27.08.2022, a case in Crime No.24 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 406 and 420 I.P.C. was registered against five persons, namely, Rajendiran, Viknesh, Karthika, Karthik and Chandhan. Investigation already commenced and without delay the investigation would be completed preferably within a period of three months.
5. Recording the said submission, this Contempt Petition is closed.
