ORDER

The petitioner though filed a quash application, now limits the prayer seeking for investigation to be completed within a stipulated period.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice on behalf of the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that in this case, 14 lorries were involved in illegal smuggling of sand. Though the petitioner claims that he has got license and permit to transport the sand, so far the same has not been produced. If the petitioner produce the license, the same will be considered.

3. Today i.e., 10.01.2025 the learned counsel for the petitioner produced licence copy to transport the sand.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No. 339 of 2024 and file a final report within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
