ORDER

The issue involved in the present Writ Petition is covered by a judgment of a Division Bench of this Court in P.Pappu Vs. Sub Registrar, Rasipuram, 2024 (5) CTC 575. The Division Bench has declared that the Sub Registrar cannot demand for original records to be produced at the time of registration. Consequently, the impugned proceedings are set aside. This Writ Petition stands allowed. There shall be a direction to the respondent to register the sale deed presented by the petitioner on 18.02.2025 within a period of one (1) week from today. There shall be no order as to costs.

2. Post the matter on 25.03.2025 'for reporting compliance'.
