This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider deploying the petitioner to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher at Panchayat Union Primary School, Chinna Odaipatti, Sathur Union, which is scheduled to fall vacant on 01.07.2025, based on his representation dated
19.06.2025.
2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was initially appointed as a 'Secondary Grade Teacher' on 11.01.1999 at Panchayat Union Middle School, Rangiyan Viduthi, Karambakudi Union, Pudukottai District. He was subsequently transferred to various schools and is presently serving at Panchayat Union Primary School, Nenmeni, Sathur Union, since 08.03.2007. On 07.06.2024, the petitioner was deputed to a needy post at Panchayat Union Primary School, K.Mettupatti, Sathur Union, by the sixth respondent vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.782/2024/A2. The said deputation was only up to the end of the academic year 2024–2025, after which the petitioner was reverted to his parent school, where he continues to serve.
4. The learned counsel further submits that the post of Secondary Grade Teacher at Panchayat Union Primary School, Chinna Odaipatti, Sathur Union, is said to fall vacant on 01.07.2025. Considering his long-standing service in the same union and experience, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 19.06.2025, requesting to be deployed to the said vacancy. However, the respondents have not considered or responded to the same. The petitioner apprehends that the said vacancy may be filled through the forthcoming counselling scheduled on 03.07.2025, without considering his claim. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 19.06.2025 and deploy him to the said vacancy, before proceeding with the counselling.

6. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the fifth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation in the forthcoming counselling scheduled on 03.07.2025, on its own merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible.
