ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner on 07.04.2025 under Section 18 (1) of the Arms Act, 1959 and R/W Rule 107 of the Arms Rules, 2016 against the impugned order passed by the second respondent / licensing authority through proceedings in RC.
No.License / 567/45459/ 2023, dated 17.03.2025.
2. Heard Mr.B.Dayalan, Party in person and Ms.P.Aishwarya, learned Government Advocate for 1st respondent and Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] for respondents 2 and 3.
3. The petitioner submitted an application seeking for renewal of Arms license and the 2nd respondent through proceedings dated 17.03.2025 revoked the arms license and aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed a statutory appeal before the 1st respondent. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the statuto
