ORDER
The petitioner has filed this petition to quash FIR in Cr.No.719 of
2024 pending on the file of the first respondent Police.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent submits that the investigation in Cr.No.719 of 2024 has been completed and a final report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai, through E.Filing.
3.Recording the above submission, this criminal original petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report through E-filing is not enough. It is the duty of the first respondent Police to ensure that the final report is taken on file, within a reasonable time. The learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai is expected to take up the final report on file, without any delay, if it is otherwise in order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
