ORDER
The petitioner claiming to be the organiser of the festival committee of Arulmigu Ayyanar Sangili Karuppu Temple situated at T.Edaiyapatti, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District has sought permission from the respondent police to conduct stage drama on 30.06.2025 by considering their representation dated 26.06.2025. While so one Kannan and others have raised certain objections for conducting drama and for bursting crackers. Therefore the issue has been referred to the Revenue Divisional Officer, who has conducted a peace committee meeting and has permitted the temple to conduct the festival on 30.06.2025 and on 01.07.2025. However in the peace committee meeting, there is no reference about the drama scheduled to be conducted today. Therefore, the petitioner has moved this petition seeking permission and police protection for conducting the festival and stage drama and for bursting crackers during Kuthirai Eduthal festival.
