ORDER
The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits namely provident fund amount, gratuity amount, commutation of pension amount and leave salary amount to the petitioner at the rate of 6% p.a., from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement.
2. The case of the petitioner is that, he was working in the respondent Transport Corporation and retired from service on voluntary retirement on 30.04.2019. However, the terminal benefits have been settled to the petitioner only on 16.09.2019, 21.01.2021 and 22.01.2021 and no interest has been paid for the delayed period. In view of the same, the petitioner submitted representation to the respondents dated 08.05.2025, to pay interest for the delayed period. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.
