ORDER
The writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned orders issued by the 3rd respondent in his proceedings dated 26.02.2018 seeking to quash the same. The petitioner also seeks a consequential direction to the respondents to allow him to retire from service with all consequential service and monetary benefits. Furthermore, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to regularize the period of suspension as duty for all purposes under Rule 9 of Fundamental Rules 54, along with all consequential service and monetary benefits.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was suspended on 26.02.2018, pursuant to a case registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act , 1988. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner was acquitted of the criminal charges on 06.09.2024. Despite this, the petitioner's various representations for revocation of the suspension, are yet to be considered by the respondents.
3. At this Juncture, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents would fairly submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a reasonable time.
4. In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025 and pass order according to its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
