O R D E R
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2025 for compassionate appointment within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father, viz., one N.Murugananthan, was initially appointed as a Water Tank Watchman, and thereafter, his service was regularized on 31.08.1998, under the second respondent Municipality. During his service, he sustained a head injury and thereafter died on 19.08.2023. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that after the demise of his father, the petitioner has given various representations, and subsequently, he sent a representation dated 13.06.2025, for compassionate appointment. Based on the petitioner's request, the District Collector has forwarded the said representation to the second respondent and the second respondent is yet to pass orders upon the proposal sent by the District Collector.
