Challenging the Regulation 2.3.12 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restriction on Sale) Regulations, 2011 dated 25.06.2019, which prohibits sale of the common salt for direct human consumption as well as Regulation 2.4.42 of the Food Safety Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 2011, this writ petition is filed seeking to declare those Regulations as null and void and ultra vires of the Constitution of India with a consequential direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to permit the petitioner to have the following label bearing words 'Non-Iodised Common Salt' on the package of Common Salt and on the
