ORDER
This writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to provide adequate police protection to the theatres to enable the peaceful and uninterrupted screening of the film “Kingdom” and to further restrain the fourth respondent and his followers from interfering with the lawful screening of the film based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.08.2025.
2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that the movie was originally shot in Telugu language and now what is released is only a dubbed version. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, it is entirely a fiction and it is not their intention to show any community in poor light or to degrade anybody. The learned counsel would further submit that the fourth respondent and its party members are indulging in violent activities for preventing persons from watching the said movie, by demonstrating inside the theatres and in some places even the posters/ banners of the said movie were damaged.
