PRAYER:
Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of
India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus,
calling for the records pertaining to RC.No.653/25000/PRN(1)/
2010-N.Z.O No.891/2009 dated 30.12.2010 issued by the Joint
Commissioner of Police, North Zone, Chennai-11, the second
respondent herein and to quash the same insofar as withholding
of pension by the 2nd respondent herein and to direct the
respondents 1 and 2 to pay the eligible pension to the
petitioner with all concomitant monetary benefits.

ORDER
Today, when the matter was called, the learned counsel for
the petitioner submitted that the disciplinary proceedings were
dropped by the Deputy Commissioner of Police on 29.06.2013 and
all the death-cum-retirement gratuity benefits have been settled
to the petitioner.
2. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for

the petitioner, no effective orders can be passed in the present
writ petition, since the prayer has been met. Accordingly, the
Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently,
connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
