ORDER
The petitioner seeks to quash the final report in C.C.No.2134 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Tirunelveli District, which was filed for the offences under Section 296(b), 351(3), 75 of BNS, 2023 and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act , 2002. 2. The allegation in the final report is that the petitioner and the defacto complainant had a love affair; that when the parents of the defacto complainant arranged her marriage with another man, the petitioner came to the house of the defacto complainant, abused her in filthy language and threatened her of dire consequences and thus committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioner and the second respondent are neighbours.
They have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 14th August 2025 and the scanned copy of the compromise memo reads as follows:
