Civil court decrees must be complied with by administrative authorities when mandated in land disputes.

ORDER

It is informed by the learned counsel appearing for the sixth respondent that the sixth respondent has filed a suit in O.S.No.790 of 2015 before the District Munsif Court, Dindigul. Likewise the petitioner filed O.S.No.101 of 2017 before the same Court. He further informed that the suit filed by the petitioner has been dismissed and the suit filed by the sixth respondent has been decreed and there are no appeals filed against the same.

2.1. O.S.No.790 of 2015 has been filed for the following relief:

3. It is seen that in the impugned order, the Tahsildar had stated that the survey would be resumed once the Civil Court had passed its order. Considering the fact that the Additional District Munsif Court, Dindigul has now passed judgment in favour of the sixth respondent and dismissed the suit filed by the petitioner, this Court directs respondents 1, 3 and 5 to conduct survey and demarcate the petitioner's lands in Survey No.343/8 of Gopalpatti, Vembarpatti Village, Dindigul, in tune with the decree in the aforesaid suit within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
