O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed as against the order passed by the second respondent dated 20.07.2024, rejecting the petitioner's request to conduct the adal padal program. The petitioner also sough permission and protection for conducting the program on 01.08.2024 from 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm in Arulmigu shri Balamurugan Thirukovil at Udavayal village, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the request of the petitioner for conducting the adal padal program to be held on 01.08.2024 was rejected by the respondent police. Further, he submits that there is no question of law and order problem in the village and the petitioner is ready to give undertaking that he will take responsibility if there is any law and order problem in their village. That apart, they are also intending to contribute for desilting the water bodies in the village and he is also ready to pay a sum of Rs.25,000/- to the village Panchayat President in this regard.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instruction from the respondent police submits that the respondent police apprehends law and order problem on account of the temple festival.
