2. During the pendency of the petition before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the matter of right of stray dogs to live on the streets vis-a-vis the safety and security of the citizens, this petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of direction to implement the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court vide order dated 22.08.2025 passed in “In re: City hounded by strays, kids pay price” [Suo-Moto W.P. (Civil) No.5 of 2025 with W.P. (Civil) No.784 of 2025; S.L.P. (Civil) Nos.14763 of 2024 and 17623 of 2025].
3. The order dated 22.08.2025 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court shows that the State Governments and the Union Territories have been directed to be impleaded; and petitions/suo-motu petitions pending in various High Courts, more or less dealing with the common issues, have been directed to be transferred to the Hon'ble Supreme Court for analogous consideration. Their Lordships in the Hon'ble Supreme Court have sought for compliance report. The said petitions are still pending.
