ORDER
The petitioner asserts that he is a daily wage worker and that he does not own any property. By further stating that lands were assigned on condition that such lands should not be alienated or otherwise disposed of to persons who belong to the non scheduled caste community, but such lands were transferred to non Scheduled Caste community people, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation on 26.10.2024 seeking resumption and redistribution of such land to Schedule Caste families in Keeranur Village, Melur, including the petitioner.
2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the request for assignment of panjami land is required to be approved by the Commissioner of Land Administration on the basis of the recommendation of the District Collector. After stating that lands in the specific survey numbers mentioned by the petitioner may not be available for assignment to the petitioner, he states that the request for assignment would be considered with regard to available land.
