On the ground that the name of the petitioner's grandfather late Mr.Sangili and the joint pattadhars were deleted from the SLR, after submitting a representation dated 14.06.2025, the present writ petition has been filed. 2. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that the revenue officials do not have the authority to consider any request for correction of errors in pre-UDR records. Therefore, he submits that the petitioner's request cannot be considered.

The Commissioner of Land Administration has issued a circular directing the revenue officials not to consider any request for correction of revenue records pertaining to pre-UDR period and has clarified that they do not have the authority or jurisdiction in this regard. Reference may be made in this connection to circular dated 15.09.2023 from the Commissioner of Land Administration. In view thereof, a mandamus as requested for by the petitioner cannot be issued. Therefore, by leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional civil court in accordance with law, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
