The court emphasized the need for timely issuance of land records for availing government crop insurance under constitutional provisions.

O R D E R

The petitioner asserts that he purchased the property in survey numbers mentioned in paragraph No.2 of the affidavit under a sale deed dated 02.05.2019 and that revenue records stand in his name. It is stated that the petitioner has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the property and is carrying on cultivation on the land. For such purpose, the petitioner had requested for the issuance of the Adangal extract so as to avail of crop insurance under the Central Government scheme. The present Writ Petition relates thereto.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Adangal register for the present Fasali is required on or before 30.11.2025 so as to make requisite payments for crop insurance under the Central Government scheme. She also points out that the Adangal has been issued in the name of the petitioner for the preceding four fasali years.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the Tahsildar would consider the petitioner's request and dispose of the same within one (1) week.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the Tahsildar to consider the petitioner's request for issuance of the Adangal and Chitta register in the petitioner's name and to dispose of such request within one (1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and Leelavathi. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
