ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to shift the electricity pole situated in the cart tack in survey No.648/3B, 649/1 Chikkarasampalayam Village, Sathyamangalam Taluk, Erode District based on the petitioners representation dated 12.05.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the high tension electric towers/poles are installed as per the Indian Telegraph Act. However,the small electric poles which are erected in the village road and cart track are made as per the procedure laid in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Supply Code. In more so, in Rule 6 of Supply code clearly establishes where ever the electric pole causes inconvenience to the public can be shifted. Hence, this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2025 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
