PRAYER Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to receive the application of the petitioner dated 22.10.2025 in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee through online for the grant of Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 K.M distance from Salem Town Old bus stand, Salem, Salem District and to consider the same.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to receive the application of the petitioner dated 22.10.2025, in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee through online for the grant of Auto Rickshaw Permit, to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 K.M., distance from Salem Town Old bus stand, Salem, Salem District.

2. In an identical case, this Court, in the case of A.Rajavel Vs. The Regional Transport Officer, Salem East, Salem District [W.P.No.13551 of

2025 decided on 16.04.2025], passed the following order:

“9. In view of the above ratio laid down by this Court in W.P.Nos.14300 to 14305 of 2024, the respondent is directed to receive the application of the petitioner dated 17.03.2025 in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee through online for the grant of an Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within a radius of 30 Km distance from Salem Town Old Bus Stand, Salem District, and pass appropriate orders on its merits, in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that following the aforesaid order, similar order was passed in W.P.No.17275 of 2025, by this Court. The counsel hence submitted that similar order may be passed in the present writ petition also.

4. The issue raised in this case is identical to one already decided in the aforementioned W.P.No.17275 of 2025. Hence, the present Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to receive the petitioner's application dated 22.10.2025, in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee through online, for the grant of an Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within a radius of 30 Kms distance from Salem Town Old bus stand, Salem, Salem District and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
