ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report, dated 03.05.2025 registered under Sections 126 (2), 296(b) and 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 in Crime No.245 of 2025 pending on the file of the first respondent Police.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner and the de facto complainant have compromised the matter and compromise affidavit has also been filed before this Court.

3. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side)

appearing for the first respondent would submit that the case has been registered for the offences under Sections 126 (2), 296(b) and 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and it cannot be permitted to be compromised. He would further submit that yet another case has been registered against the petitioner for the offence under Section 302 I.P.C.

and he is facing trial.

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in such circumstances, a direction may be issued to the first respondent / Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.245 of

2025 within a specified period.

5. In view of the above, this Criminal Original petition stands closed with a direction to the first respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.245 of 2025 and file final report within a period of three months from today.
