Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the general transfer counselling for BT Assistant before 21.02.2022 when the deployment transfer will take place to enable the petitioner to choose a Government High School near Tambaram to work as BT Assistant in Mathematics.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct respondents 2 and 3 to permit the petitioner to participate in the general transfer counselling for B.T. Assistant before 21.02.2022. 2. The relief claimed in the writ petition has become infructuous, as the counselling for the 2022 has already been completed. However, from a reading of the affidavit filed in support of the petition, it is seen that the petitioner’s application has not even been considered by the respondents for the counselling held in the year 2022.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, respondents 2 and 3 are directed to permit the petitioner to participate in the general transfer counselling on the basis of their earlier request, which is stated to be held in June 2026. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
