PRAYER in W.P. Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology Degree qualification awarded by Bharathiyar University as eligible qualification for the post of P.G. Assistant (Zoology) in consideration of representation submitted by the Petitioner through Email dated 08.12.2025.

Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology Degree qualification awarded by Bharathiyar University as eligible qualification for the post of P.G. Assistant (Zoology) in consideration of representation submitted by the Petitioner through Email dated 09.12.2025.

COMMON ORDER

Since the issue involved in these writ petitions is one and the same, with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, these writ petitions are heard together and disposed of by way of this common order.

2. It is stated that petitioners belong to MBC/BCM communities and possesses the requisite educational qualifications for appointment to the post of P.G. Assistant (Zoology). It is the case of the petitioners that they completed B.Sc (Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology) from Bharathiyar University, which is declared as equivalent to B.Sc (Zoology). Pursuant to Notification No.2/2025, dated 10.07.2025 issued by the respondent / TRB, petitioners have applied for the post of P.G. Assistant (Zoology) as per their respective categories viz., BCM / MBC. Subsequently, they participated in the written examination and secured 85 marks and pursuant to which, they have been shortlisted for Certificate Verification on 06.12.2025.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioners that during Certificate verification, the officials of the respondents rejected the equivalence of the petitioners’ U.G. qualification quoting G.O. Ms. No.104, dated 22.06.2012 relates only to the academic year 2005-2006. According to the petitioners, the said rejection is erroneous and the same is arbitrary. Being aggrieved by the non-consideration of the petitioners’ candidatures, they have submitted seprate representations by way of e-mail to the respondents on 08.12.2025 and 09.12.2025 seeking to consider the educational qualification possessed by them as equivalence to B.Sc (Zoology) and include their names in the selection and appointment to the post of P.G. Assistant (Zoology) . However, the aforesaid requests have not been considered by the respondnets, till date. Hence, these writ petitions.
