ORDER

The petitioner had presented a document for registration and the same was registered as Document No.6715 of 2022 on the file of the third respondent. Thereafter, it is stated that the petitioner received notice dated 30.06.2022 from the second respondent calling upon the petitioner to pay deficit stamp duty of Rs.4,34,000/-. The petitioner sent a representation in response thereto and requested that an enquiry be conducted. Since no action was taken thereafter, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that an enquiry would be conducted under Section 47-A read with Rules framed thereunder after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. He also submits that proceedings would be initiated in this regard within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. By taking note of the submissions of learned Special Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to conduct an enquiry in relation to the notice issued on 30.06.2022 by providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. The entire process shall be concluded within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed.
