PRAYER The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to initiate action against the 6th respondent by demolition of unauthorized construction D.No. 19/2, Thulakanathamman koil street, Comprised in the Greater Chennai Corporation Limits, Zone 7, Ward -86, Udayarpalayam, Chennai - 58 in accordance with law law as sought vide representations dated 29.03.2023 and

10.04.2023.

The prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition seeking for action against an alleged unauthorised construction may not require consideration since the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Greater Chennai Corporation submits that for the unauthorised construction in the subject property in D.No.19/2, Thulakanathamman Koil Street, Zone 7, Ward - 86, Udayarpalayam, Chennai, de-occupation notices have already been issued and the same has been challenged by the private respondent herein under Section 80(A) of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971, which is pending.

2. In view of this development, no further orders are required in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
