ORDER

The petitioner had presented a sale deed executed by him in favour of one Mallika for registration. By order dated 22.10.2025, the second respondent refused to register the document on the ground that DTCP approval had not been obtained, in respect of the lay out.

2. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for both respondents. He invited my attention to the operative paragraph of the impugned order and submitted that there is no infirmity in the order warranting interference. In the impugned order, it is recorded inter alia as under:

3. As is noticeable from the extract, the Sub Registrar refused to register the document on the ground that it pertains to a plot in an unapproved layout. The order has been passed in conformity with Section 22-A(2) of the Registration Act, 1908. Therefore, I find no reason to interfere. By leaving it open to the petitioner to seek registration after regularising the lay out, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
