ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police to grant permission and protection to conduct sports event, namely “Kabadi Competition” to be held on 13.12.2025 and 14.12.2025 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2025 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side, and I have perused the materials available on record.

3. Mr.A.S.Abul Kalaam Azad, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), submitted that earlier, a similar request was considered by this Court and the representation of the petitioner would be considered in terms of the Circular issued by the Director General of Police in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019 dated

09.04.2019.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Writ Petition is allowed, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on or before 10.12.2025.
