Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to effect New Electricity Service Connections for the New Service Connection Registration Nos.200091630925582 to 200091630925586 registered on 06.09.2025 forthwith without any further delay, as the petitioner’s herein obtained Completion Certificate on 01.07.2025 and made all the payments as and when demanded by the respondents but still awaiting Electricity service connection to occupy the newly dwelling units, which are ready for occupation since July, 2025.

ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondents herein to effect new electricity service connections for the new service connection Registration Nos.200091630925582 to 200091630925586 registered on 06.09.2025 forthwith without any further delay, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that installation of SD cable termination work is over on the part of the petitioner and now, the respondents have to effect new electricity service connections.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that only the electricity meter has to be fixed and due to monsoon, the same could not be fixed. He would further submit that new electricity service connections will be given in a week’s time after the monsoon is over.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to effect new electricity service connections within a week or after the monsoon is over or whichever is earlier. No costs. Connected W.M.P. is closed.
