Heard both sides.
2. The sale deed dated 29.10.2025 was executed by Balamurugan, Rishipranesh and Mahimashri in favour of the writ petitioner. The document was presented for registration. The registering authority kept the document pending and did not release it. Challenging the communication on the part of the respondent, this writ petition came to be filed.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader on written instructions submitted that the property appears to have been under valued. I have already held that on the ground of under valuation, registration cannot be withheld.
4. The respondent is therefore directed to register the document. It is open to the respondent to adopt the procedure set out in Section 47A of the Indian Stamp Act. Release of the document will depend upon the decision to be taken in this regard. This writ petition stands partly allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
