2nd respondent herein and quash the same and consequently direct the Respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the Settlement Deed in Document No. 1376 of 2009 dated 17.07.2009 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Kulithalai executed by the Petitioner in favour of the 3rd Respondent and to cancel the Settlement Deed in Document No. 379 of 2016 dated 24.03.2016 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Kulithalai executed by the third respondent in favour of the four respondent.

ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the proceedings in Moo.Mu. 6772/2025/(E4) dated 24.06.2025 on the file of the 1st respondent, confirming the proceedings in Pa.Mu.A4/5912/2024 dated 19.02.2025 on the file of the 2nd respondent, and quash the same; and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the Settlement Deed in Document No. 1376 of 2009 dated 17.07.2009 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Kulithalai, executed by the petitioner in favour of the 3rd respondent, and also to cancel the Settlement Deed in Document No.379 of 2016 dated 24.03.2016 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Kulithalai, executed by the 3rd respondent in favour of the 4th respondent.
2. The petitioner submits that he is a senior citizen, the 3rd respondent is his son, and the 4th respondent is his daughter-in-law. The petitioner had settled his property in favour of the 3rd respondent. However, after the settlement, the respondents 3 and 4 failed to take care of him, including providing food and purchasing medicines. Hence, the petitioner approached the 2nd respondent seeking cancellation of the settlement deed executed in favour of the 3rd and 4th respondents. The 2nd respondent rejected the petitioner’s request. The petitioner thereafter filed an appeal before the 1st respondent, who also confirmed the order of the 2nd respondent. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. An undertaking affidavit has been filed, wherein in paragraph 4 it has been stated as follows:
“4. I submit that I am an Agriculture Coolie. The 4th respondent, who is my wife, is a housewife, and we have two children. We have given undertaking before the Hon'ble Court that we will provide food, medical expenses and other maintenance to the writ petitioner continuously without any failure, and recording this undertaking, the writ petition may be closed, thus render justice.”
4. Recording the said undertaking, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
