PRAYER:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for an issuance Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the compensation amount payable to the petitioner in respect of land acquired bearing survey No. 1031/2B1G1, measuring 0.7.50 hectares, Parandur-A Village, Kancheepuram Taluk and District by considering the petitioner’s representations dated 07.06.2024 and 03.10.2025.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the respondents to pay the compensation amount payable to the petitioner in respect of land acquired bearing survey No. 1031/2B1G1, measuring 0.7.50 hectares, Parandur-A Village, Kancheepuram Taluk and District, by considering the petitioner’s representations dated 07.06.2024 and 03.10.2025.

2.Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the respondents acquired the petitioner’s land comprised in S.Nos.1031/3A, measuring 0.52 cents; S.No.1031/2B1G1 measuring 0.18 cents out of 0.33 cents; S.No.1031/3B2, measuring 0.32 cents and S.No.1031/4C measuring 0.61 cents, situated at Paranthur-A Village, Kanchipuram Taluk and District for the purpose of widening the road. The authorities have paid the compensation in respect of the lands comprised in S.No.1031/3A, S.No.1031/3B2 and S.No.1031/4C.

However, in respect of the land situated in S.No.1031/2B1G1, the compensation amount is not paid till date. The petitioner has also made representations in this regard on 07.06.2024 & 03.10.2025. Till date, the representations of the petitioner have not been considered by the respondents 1 to 3, so far.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Project Director, National Highways Authority of India, Kanchipuram, Kanchipuram District is suo mottu impleaded as 4th respondent in the present case.

5.Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mrs.S.R.Sumathy, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the newly impleaded 4th respondent would submit that the representations of the petitioner dated 07.06.2024 and 03.10.2025 will be considered and disposed of at the earliest point of time.

6.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent.

7.Considering the submissions made by either parties and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 07.06.2024 and 03.10.2025 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8.With the above directions, this writ petitio
