For Petitioner : Mr.R.Arunkumar For Respondents : Ms.S.Anitha, SGP O R D E R The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.10.2025 by conducting an effective enquiry and issue the legal heir certificate in her favour alone within a stipulated time.
2. Heard both sides. With the consent of both sides, the present Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner married one S.Sebastin, who was employed as a driver in the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Ambattur in the year 1993 and he passed away on 24.08.2025 in a road accident. He continued that subsequent to the petitioner’s husband’s demise, she applied for a legal heir certificate with all relevant documents, however, she came to know that some unknown person has applied for the same and hence, in this regard, she made a representation to the respondents on 31.10.2025, however, there was no response and therefore, she has come forward with the present Petition before this Court.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated
31.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any interested parties concerned, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. There shall be no orders as to costs.
