ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for non compliance of the order dated 12.04.2024 passed by this Court in W.P.No.7027 of 2022, thereby directing the respondents to pay compensation of Rs.26,95,000/- to the petitioners, within a period of twelve weeks.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy)

appearing for the respondents submitted that aggrieved by the order passed by this Court, they preferred a Writ Appeal in W.A.No.3045 of 2025, and the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court by an order dated 25.10.2025 granted an interim order of stay on condition that the respondents shall deposit 50% of the compensation to the credit of the Writ Appeal account before this Registry, within a period of four weeks.

3. In view of the above interim order granted by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court, the Contempt Petition stands closed at present. The petitioner is at liberty to revive the Contempt Petition subject to the result of the Writ Appeal.
