O R D E R
This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2025 seeking to issue No Objection Certificate for his property at Plot No.14 in Survey No.1016 at Kulavanigarapuram, Tirunelveli District within stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's land was acquired by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board on 30.08.1989. On 27.06.2001, the third respondent issued notice stating that the compensation amount was deposited before the Sub Court, Tirunelveli, however, the petitioner did not receive the compensation. So far, the said land was not used for any purpose. Based on the news that unused acquired lands will be reassigned to its original owner, the petitioner sent a representation dated 14.10.2024. But, no action was taken. Further, on 08.09.2025, the petitioner sent a representation on 08.09.2025 to the first respondent for issuance of No Objection Certificate. However, so far, no action was taken. Hence, this Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 08.09.2025 would be considered by the first respondent in accordance with law.
4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 08.09.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
