PRAYER :- Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS, directing the 3rd respondent to cancel the Patta Transfer proceedings dated

29.04.2025 effected in favour of the 6th respondent in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.206/3F2, forming part of Patta No. 11167, Vanathirayanpatti Revenue Village, Pudukkottai District on the basis of Petitioners representation dated 25.11.2025 within a stipulated time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to cancel the patta transfer proceedings dated 29.04.2025 effected in favour of the 6th respondent in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.206/3F2, forming part of Patta No.11167, Vanathirayanpatti Revenue Village, Pudukkottai District on the basis of Petitioners representation dated 25.11.2025 within a stipulated time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the private respondents, notice is dispensed with.

3. The petitioners submitted a representation on 25.11.2025 to the

3rd respondent to cancel the patta proceedings. However, no action has been taken on the said application. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Learned Government Advocate, appearing for the official respondents, submits that the representation of the petitioner's would be considered by the 3rd respondent within a time stipulated by this Court.

5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to say, if any rival claims, the same shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
