ORDER

The petitioner asserts that one Chellappa Gounder, Pazhani Gounder and Kuppusamy fraudulently executed a sale deed dated 22.09.2021 in favour of one Rajammal and also obtained a patta unlawfully. After submitting representation dated 21.10.2025 seeking cancellation of such sale deed, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents 1 to 8, 10 and 11. He submits that the registering officer does not have the power of cancellation.

3. As submitted by learned Special Government Pleader, the registering officer does not have the power to cancel Document No.2718 of 2021. Therefore, a mandamus as requested cannot be granted. It is, however, open to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional civil Court seeking cancellation.

4. With these observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
