PRAYER:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st and 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 15.12.2025 and to conduct enquiry under section 36 of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 in respect of the affairs of the Tamil Film Producers Council and to nominate an observer under Section 26(4) of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 for holding proper and fair Annual General Body Meeting and Election as per the bye laws for the period (2026-2029) and to take appropriate action within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner representation dated 15.12.2025 and to conduct enquiry under section 36 of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, in respect of the affairs of the Tamil Film Producers Council and to nominate an observer under Section 26(4) of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 for holding proper and fair Annual General Body Meeting and Election as per the bye laws for the period (2026-2029) and to take appropriate action.
2.Mr.Stalin Abhimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.Mrs.Dakshayini Reddy, learned Senior Counsel for Mr.T.R.Prabhakaran, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the present office bearers and executive committee members of the 3rd respondent were elected in the election held on 02.05.2023. After assuming office, the 3rd respondent association is in non-compliance of statutory provisions under the Societies Registration Act, 1975 such as not conducting the Annual General Body Meeting and the monthly Executive Committee Meeting, not furnishing the yearly profit and loss accounts to the members and other violations. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 15.12.2025, before respondents 1 and 2 seeking to conduct enquiry under section 36 of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, in respect of the affairs of the Tamil Film Producers Council and to nominate an observer under Section 26(4) of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 for holding proper and fair Annual General Body Meeting and Election as per the bye laws for the period (2026- 2029). However, the said representation of the petitioner has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition is filed.
4.Mr.Stalin Abhimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2025 will be considered and disposed of, at the earliest point of time.
5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
