ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 04.04.2025 made in W.M.P.No.12651 of 2025 in W.P.No.11217 of 2025.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the order of this Court dated 04.04.2025 granting interim stay of further proceedings of the order dated 18.02.2025 of the sole respondent, who is the 3rd respondent in the writ petition, in Ref.No.A1/234/2024, the petitioner’s possession over the subject property has been interfered with by the authorities. Accordingly, he prayed for appropriate orders.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent submitted that a land dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 4 to 6 in W.P.No.11217 of 2025 had culminated in a law and order problem and therefore, the 3rd respondent had issued orders under Section 164 of BNSS, as there was a breach of peace. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner approached this Court and this Court, vide order dated 04.04.2025 made in W.M.P.No.12651 of 2025 in W.P.No.11217 of 2025, had granted interim stay of all further proceedings of the order dated 04.04.2025 passed by the 3rd respondent and pursuant to the said order of this Court, the respondent officials have not proceeded any further. He further submitted that in the event of any law and order problem, the police will be duty-bound to take necessary action against those responsible for disrupting public peace and tranquility.

4. Recording the above submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, this contempt petition stands closed.
