respondent under Section 78 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 in respect of temple premises of Arulmigu Somanatha Swamy temple, Poundarigapuram(Enathimangalam), Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District within a time period as fixed by this Court and thereafter secure and restore the temple property by fencing the lands, marking boundaries and ensuring proper administration.

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner is a devotee of the fourth respondent temple. The petitioner wants eviction orders earlier passed in respect of the petition-mentioned properties to be enforced. 3. The learned Standing counsel appearing for the fourth respondent states that while they were allowed to enforce the order, they are unable to do so due to pendency of revision petitions filed before the Commissioner, HR&CE Department.

4. The Commissioner, HR&CE Department is directed to dispose of the revision petitions on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eighteen months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the revision petition is dismissed, the eviction orders in question shall be enforced immediately and thereafter, possession shall be resumed. If there is no revision petition is pending as against the eviction orders, the same shall be enforced immediately. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
