Sports associations must conduct elections in strict adherence to the National Sports Development Code of India, 2011, and relevant judicial guidelines regarding age and tenure restrictions.

COMMON ORDER

1.These writ petitions have been filed challenging the election notification published by the National Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, Tamil Nadu Amateur Kabaddi Association and District Amateur Kabaddi Association of Tamil Nadu on the ground that the respective Associations have been violated the National Sports Development code of India-2011 and the orders passed in W.P.No.195/2010 and W.P.no.8915/2011 etc., batch by the Delhi High Court and the Judgment passed in WA.No.1204 of 2022 by this Court and also seeking a direction to the respondents to follow the guidelines imposed by the judgment dated 10.02.2023 passed in WP.(C).No.8915 of 2019 and a batch of writ petitions passed by the Delhi High Court and also in W.A.No.1202/2022 dated 26.04.2022 and the National Sports Development Code, 2011. In the above said judgments, a direction was issued to the respective Sports Association to follow the age and tenure restrictions as formulated by the National Sports Development Council of India-2011 (NSDCI) and the order passed by the Delhi High Court in WP.(C).No.8915/2019.

2. Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to follow the guidelines issued by the NSDCI-2011 and the guidelines framed by the Hon'ble Delhi High Court in WP.(C).No.8915/2019 for conducting election.

Learned counsel appearing for the respective Association submitted that the election will be conducted strictly in terms of NSDCI-2011 and in terms of para 62 of the order in WP.(C).No.8915/2019 by the Delhi High Court. 4. The said statements made by the learned counsel on either side is recorded. Recording the same, all the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respective Association to conduct election strictly in terms of NSDCI-2011 and in terms of para 62 of the order passed in WP. (C).No.8915/2019 by the Delhi High Court. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
