Prayer in W.P.No.37078 of 2025: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order in Na.Ka. 6843/ 2025/ L2 dated 19.08.2025 issued by the 3rd respondent, quash the same and consequently forbear the respondents from constructing Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in T.S.No.130/1, Tiruchengode Town, Namakkal District.

Prayer in W.P.No.35721 of 2025: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order in Na Ka no. 6843/202/AL2 dated 19.08.2025 issued by the respondent no. 3 and quash the same and consequently forbear the respondents from constructing sewage treatment plant inside the Koottapalli Lake corresponding channels water spread areas etc.

In terms of the order passed on 06.11.2025, the respondent has caused an inspection and has submitted the following report:-

2.Yet again, he made a submission that Survey No.130/1, Ward F, Block 14, Thiruchengode Town and Taluk, Namakkal District, is the only location available for the establishment of Sewerage Treatment Plan (STP). On the basis of the report submitted by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, this Court had earlier concluded that the area is unfit for establishment of STP. Hence, the respondent shall search for other suitable alternate location and not insist on Survey No.130/1.

3.In view of the above, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition and accordingly, this Writ Petition stands closed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed. No costs.
