PRAYER :-This petition is filed under 528 BNSS, to call for the records pertaining to the Impugned Charge sheet in C.C.NO.900 of 2025 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Madurai and

quash the same as illegal in respect of the petitioners.

ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the impugned final report filed for the offences under Sections 191(2), 296(b), 115(2), 133 BNS and Section

4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

The gist of the allegation is that on account of prior enmity, the petitioners had attacked the defacto complainant with hands and abused him in filthy language and thus, committed the aforesaid offences. 3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent belong to same village and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 26.11.2025.

4. The petitioner and the defacto complainant are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.N.Muthu, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Nagamalai Pudukottai Police Station, Madurai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of the allegation and the compromise arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 26.11.2025, shall form part and parcel of the order. The petitioners shall pay a cost of Rs.5,000/- to the High Court Legal Services Authority attached to this Bench and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
