PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the person or body of the detene namely Rohini, daughter of Murugan aged 17 years before this Court and handed over

her custody to the petitioner.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.K. ILANTHIRAIYAN,J.

The prayer in the petition is to direct the respondents 1 and

2 to produce the person or body of the detenu namely Rohini, daughter of Murugan aged 17 years before this Court and handed over her custody to the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is the father of the victim girl who is aged about 17 years. While being so, on 28.11.2025 and the minor victim girl was found missing and as such the petitioner lodged complaint and the same was registered in Crime No.218 of 2025 under 'Girl Missing'. During investigation the second respondent secured the victim girl from the hands of the third respondent and the offences are also altered under the POCSO Act.

3. Today, the minor victim girl was produced before us. We enquired the missing girl. She deposed that she is willing to go with her parents.

4. In view of the same, the Habeus Corpus Petition stands closed. However, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No. 218 of 2025 and file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
