COMMON ORDER

These writ petitions have been filed directing the 1^st respondent to de-seal the Bore well connection immediately pertaining to the Bore wells in the petitioners' properties in S.Nos.169/52, 187/11, 121/1, 185/5A1, 122/4/A1 and 171/6/12 and also to restore the Electricity Connections vide SC Nos.064050201332, 0640502011160, 06405006275, 064050201234, 064050201061 and 064050201390 thereto situated at Nanjikottai Village, Thanjavur District by considering the representation given by the petitioners dated 26.12.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the 4^th respondent and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioners is that for agricultural operations, the petitioners have installed bore-wells and drawing water. While so, the respondents, on the pretext that the petitioners are using the extracted groundwater for commercial purpose, have sealed the bore- wells and disconnected the electricity supplies. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners are before this Court.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the water extracted from the bore-wells are using only for the agricultural purposes and not used the same for commercial purposes. The learned counsel, however, on instructions, undertakes that the water would be used only for agricultural purposes and the same would not be used for any other commercial purposes. The learned counsel therefore prays that the representation of the petitioners may be considered and electricity connections may be restored. The said submission is recorded. The learned counsel would further submit that the excess water alone the petitioners are giving to the outsiders.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that since the officials received complaints to the effect the water extracted from the bore-wells is used for commercial purpose, the same were sealed and the electricity service connections were disconnected.

6. Recording the aforesaid submission and considering the facts and circumstances of the case coupled with the undertaking thus given by the petitioners now before this Court, these writ petitions stand disposed of with the following direction:
