O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant assignment patta to the petitioner in respect of the property bearing S.No.691/1 in Kumarapuram Village, Thovalai Taluk, Kanyakumari District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.09.2022.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the first respondent will consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

3. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.09.2022 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
