Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 4th Respondent to pass order based on the proceedings of the 2nd respondent to pass order based on the

proceedings of the 2nd Respondent in Na.Ka.No.2343/2024 / A4, dated

27/01/2025 within a stipulated period of time.

ORDER

The petitioner had lodged an appeal under the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983 before the Revenue Divisional Officer with regard to a patta issued in favour of third parties. In relation thereto, the Revenue Divisional Officer addressed a communication dated 27.01.2025 to the Sub-Registrar. Since the said request of the Revenue Divisional Officer has not been acted upon till date, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the Sub-Registrar would pass a speaking order and communicate the same to the petitioner and other parties concerned.

3. In view of the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the fourth respondent to pass a speaking order in relation to the request dated 27.01.2025 of the Revenue Divisional Officer within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There will be no order as to costs.
