This writ petition is filed for the following relief:

“To direct the respondent to effect correction in the Death Certificate of late V.I.Chacko by replacing the name “Jeelu Chacko” with “Mary Chacko”.

2. The petitioner is the son of late V.I. Chacko, who passed away on 24.01.2024. The petitioner would submit that in the death certificate issued by the respondent, Greater Chennai Corporation, the name of the petitioner's mother (the spouse of the deceased) has been erroneously recorded as "Jeelu Chacko" instead of her correct and official name
